Springtime is a delicate time for many trails in Gatineau Park. The natural-surfaced trails are wet and muddy, and very susceptible to accidental damage whether you’re a light stepping hiker or a heavy-footed mountain biker, not to mention this is construction season in the park for repairs and upgrades throughout the trail network.

As such, the NCC politely asks that we keep off the unopened paths until they’re ready, and they’re almost ready. In the meantime, they keep an updated list of approved trails on their website (view that list of open trails here).
