Are You Prepared for the Outdoors?

Learn about survival priorities and what to do if you get lost in the woods, with members of Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais – Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue (SBO-OVSAR). The presentation features practical tips and equipment demonstrations.

Topics covered:

survival priorities;
planning a hike/snowshoe/ski;
essential items you need to carry and know how to use;
navigation tools: map, compass and GPS and
search and rescue techniques.

With these tools you will be less likely to get lost in the woods, yet better prepared for misadventures.

This Friends of Gatineau Park activity is for persons aged 12 and older. Registration is required.


Deadline: Friday November 23, at 2pm.

Refund requests must be received at least 48 hours before the activity. *Should the Friends of Gatineau Park cancel the activity, the totality of the rates will be refunded regardless of the time of the cancellation.
