Gatineau Park Snowshoeing Trails 3 months, 3 weeks agoTrail #71 Saturday PM Jan 21st
Conditions were very good, nice layer of powder over a good base. Slight crusty layer was more noticeable in the southern portion of the loop (near P15), almost non-existent in the northern portion (near Carman lake).
This trail offers great viewpoints of a rolling valley and some nice challenging climbs in the…[Read more]

Dave,
That’s great news, thanks for passing it along.
Just to avoid any confusion, I think this is offered at Le Massif du Sud (http://massifdusud.net/?lang=en) directly east of Quebec City, and not at Le Massif (http://www.lemassif.com/en/montagne) which is North-East of Quebec City.
Is that your understanding also?

Gatineau Park Snowshoeing Trails: 1 year, 1 month ago2011-04-06 Trail #60 and 61
Trails were in good condition today for a walk in winter boots. Trail #60 had a fair bit of bare spots, some run-off water under the snow cover, very little mud to be found. Trail #61 more snow cover, particularly on the uphill section (ccw). Near the top, the snow cover was about 50%, on the way down there were a…[Read more]

Let’s hope the trails hold up well to heavy use and rain/mud as well, they look a bit ”soft”.
