Eagle's Nest Lookout

The Eagle's Nest lookout is your reward at the top of this simple, 1.5 kilometre hike in the Calabogie Highlands. Make your way along an old logging road that climbs gradually uphill, through the woods, leading to a spectacular lookout at the top of a 120 metre cliff.
Across the road from the parking lot on your left, you will note the Eagle’s Nest trail sign marking the trailhad. After following the trail for about 20 minutes you'll see the eagle’s head, painted signs in the trees above you on the right.
As you pass a pond on your left, look for a large, colourful and informative sign, just on the right. Follow the short trail up the hill to the right to the cliff site and enjoy the view!
Getting to Eagle's Nest Trailhead
From Calabogie, take Hwy. 508 west and go 2.2 km past the Calabogie Peaks Ski Resort to the top of the mountain where you will parking on your right on the side of the road. Here's a map of the Eagle's Nest Lookout location.
